Bio

Tyler Dellaperute is a Lecturer of Piano at Appalachian State University's Hayes School of Music, where he teaches class piano, provides applied lessons, and accompanies students in solo and ensemble contexts. Beyond his academic role, Tyler also serves as the keyboardist, backup vocalist, and choir director at the Temple of the High Country, arranging and performing both contemporary and traditional Jewish music. Tyler is also the pianist at First Presbyterian Church in Boone, where he performs original hymn arrangements. During the summer months, Tyler tunes pianos and entertains with cocktail jazz at country clubs.

Runner-up of the 2021 Concerto-Aria Competition at the Hayes School of Music. Performed Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, Mov. III in final round.

Winner of 2018 Concerto Competition at Cedarville University. Performed Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Mov. 1 with the Cedarville University Orchestra.
